Overview
BMW is planning the M1 super car to mark the 30th anniversary of the BMW M1 super sports car. It embodies the BMW heritage and comes across as a revolutionary concept car. It pays tribute to its forerunner models and signifies competence, creativity and potential of the BMW Group Design team.
Power and performance
The new two-door BMW M1, modeled after the ace 135i, will be powered by a turbo inline-6 engine that churns out 320 hp and comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission. This output allows the car to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds and up to a top speed of 155 mph (electronically limited).
Body and styling
It is distinguished by its specific exterior and interior design. The unique M design elements like a front apron with large air intake vents and three-dimensional flaps on the outer air vents are inspired by automobile racing. An impressive rear apron and dual exhaust pipes mark the rear part. A new set of 18-inch M light alloy double-spoke wheels will be fitted to the M1. The interior has Hexagon/Alcantara upholstery, M leather steering wheel, BMW Individual roofliner in Anthracite, and an aluminum Hexagon trim with matte Estoril Blue or high-gloss black accent lines.
The BMW M1 may have three and five-door versions. It is expected to become the M division?s most affordable model attracting young customers.
Safety Features
The BMW M1 coupe will have all modern safety features like other BMWs.
