BMW M5 is a midsize 5 Series luxury sedan. For 2013, BMW M5 has been completely redesigned. At the heart is a new generation twin turbo 4.4 liter V8 engine that has a better performance and better fuel economy.
Power and performance
The 2013 BMW M5 is powered by a twin turbo 4.4 liter V8 engine that churns out 560 hp and 501 lb-ft torque. This is conjugated with a seven-speed, dual-clutch automated manual transmission. Drivers can also opt for a six-speed manual transmission as no-cost option. The acceleration is pretty fast, the M5 can zoom in from zero to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds.
Body and styling
The 2013 BMW M5 is a midsize 5 series luxury sedan. From 19-inch alloy wheels, to auto-diming mirrors, each feature reflects the class of a true BMW. Other features present include a navigation system, voice commands, 12-speaker surround sound system with a six CD changer, dual zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, heated front seats with memory settings and much more.
Optional Driver Assistance Package includes lane-departure and blind-spot warning system, 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen surround-sound system and a night vision camera system with pedestrian detection.
The interior is done in equal harmony. The spacious cabin, familiar A4 dashboard, intricate instrument-panel hood, the 16-way adjustment sport seats, and a split-folding rear seat are some of the typical features of the BMW M5.
Safety Features
Standard safety features are present that include antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front seat side airbags, active front head restraints and the BMW Assist emergency communications system.
Shoppers can also opt for optional safety features that include a blind spot monitor, night vision system capable of displaying oncoming animals, and lane departure warning system.
