The 540i xDrive boasts a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine with 375 horsepower. The all-electric i5 is equipped with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive. It offers a battery range of 295 miles and can achieve an 80% charge in under 30 minutes. The i5 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds.
Appearance
The 2024 BMW 5 Series sports a modern, prestigious look with a long, angled hood and sleek roof arch. The wheels feature a triangle-style spoke design. Slender, pointed LED headlights fade towards the rear, and wide, triangular lower air inlets accentuate the front. The kidney-shaped grille is outlined in chrome and tapers upward for a distinctive touch. The i5 shares a similar profile with smooth, subtle accentuations on the sides and a prominently curved element along the lower door panels. The front end features a comparable grille and headlights, complemented by an upturned lower fascia and sporty air inlets.
