Serving Elmhurst, IL
The elite BMW M4 combines the precision engineering that you expect from the brand with sporty coupe styling and a full selection of premium features. In addition to being offered in a coupe body style, a convertible option is available. Our associates at BMW of Elmhurst are ready to help you explore the M4 and discover the differences between these two body styles.
Performance
The M4 Coupe has three trim levels and three engine options, while the M4 Convertible only has one trim level and one powertrain. The entry-level trim, offered only in the coupe format, comes with a 473-horsepower, 3.0-liter, V6 engine. This trim is also equipped with adjustable drive modes, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, adaptive suspension dampers, rear-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual transmission. The coupe’s mid-level Competition trim has an upgraded 503-horsepower system with an eight-speed auto transmission. The Competition xDrive trim is available in both body styles. It features a more powerful 523-horsepower system.
Appearance
The M4’s body styles show off a fastback-style roof and a powerful swell through the hood. The sides display precision sculpting along with a bold air vent near the front wheels. The tall grille is an innovative variation of BMW’s kidney-shaped grille. Wide air vents flank the grille, and tall slits are mounted farther back on the front fascia. The first two coupe-style trims give you up to 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, black trim, a carbon-fiber roof, performance tires, and adaptive headlights. The top trim level for both body styles includes laser headlights and a power trunk lid.
Features
The entry-level coupe trim provides you with a wireless device charger, a lane departure warning, a navigation system, leather upholstery, a 14.9-inch touch display screen, heated sport seats, a Harman Kardon sound system with 16 speakers, a blind-spot warning, and others. The Competition coupe does not add any additional cabin or safety features. The top-of-the-line Competition X trim for the coupe and convertible has options like adaptive cruise control, remote engine start, a head-up display, a heated steering wheel, automated parking, and several additional features.
