Baroque Brilliance With the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra – BMW of Elmhurst Dealer

Classical music lovers who have been waiting for the return of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra need wait no longer. We’re pleased to announce the Symphony’s next virtual music program, Baroque Brilliance, which begins Sunday, February 14 at 3:00 p.m. At BMW of Elmhurst, we applaud the efforts of everyone in our local arts community who has been working diligently to bring art and music to our community at this time. We especially appreciate the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra’s virtual concert series. We hope you have a chance to watch this exciting performance.

Baroque Brilliance is conducted by Stephen Alltop, Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra’s Music Director and Conductor. The program is a musical exploration of classical music’s Baroque period. Pachelbel’s Canon and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 showcases the Symphony’s string section, while works by Rameau and Caldara prominently feature the trumpets, oboes and timpani.

Guest artists for the performance include violinist Jasmine Lin, who joins soloists Kathleen Carter and Rika Seko in Telemann’s enchanting Concerto for Three Violins. Commentary from Stephen Alltop, Jasmine Lin and celebrated harpsichordist David Schrader will add even more to your enjoyment of the program.
