Calling all history buffs. The Elmhurst Public Library presents Bizarre History of Illinois: Strange Stories From Our Past. This virtual event takes place on Nov. 18, 2020, from 7-8 p.m. You’ll step into the past and discover weird tales from our state’s early days. You’ll hear stories of strange people, ghosts, psychic phenomena, strange deaths, sea serpents and UFO. This event looks like it will be educational and entertaining, so we here at BMW of Elmhurst encourage everyone to enjoy this presentation.

Your guide for Bizarre History of Illinois: Strange Stories From Our Past is paranormal enthusiast Chad Lewis, who will assist you in journeying back to the past. The presentation includes over 100 newspaper stories from Illinois history that were previously hidden from the public’s eyes for more than a century. When you experience this production, you’ll never look at Illinois history the same way again.

Chad Lewis is a researcher, lecturer and author who has written more than 20 books on the paranormal. He has scoured the globe over the past 25 years, searching for unique and strange tales and historic stories. His travels have led him everywhere from New Orleans and Wisconsin to Transylvania and Guatemala. He’s presented his unique stories at schools, libraries and events. Chad’s stories are derived from newspaper articles, eyewitness accounts and historical archives. He has appeared on TV shows such as “Monsters and Mysteries in America,” ABC’s “Scariest Places on Earth,” William Shatner’s “Weird or What” and Discovery Channel’s “A Haunting.”
