BMW and Marvel Studios Team Up for Black Widow – BMW of Elmhurst Dealer

BMW has teamed with Marvel Studios to provide vehicles for “Black Widow,” the action-packed spy thriller now in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access. It’s the first time the two companies have collaborated on a film project. At BMW of Elmhurst, we enjoy summer blockbusters, and we’re excited BMW cars are prominently featured in this Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

“Black Widow” stars Scarlett Johansson as a former KGB agent-turned-superhero. It showcases BMW’s X3 and 2 Series Gran Coupé in several adrenaline-filled driving sequences.

The film is set immediately after the events of 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War.” Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow is forced to confront dark parts of her past when a dangerous conspiracy involving Russian spies comes to light. With a humanoid assassin tracking her across the globe, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships she created when she defected to SHIELD several years earlier. The thrilling plot fleshes out Natasha’s backstory. It provides context for her selfless actions in “Avengers: Endgame,” which was released in 2019.

According to a representative of The Walt Disney Company, the BMW X3 and 2 Series Gran Coupé were chosen for the movie’s action scenes because they are “sleek and agile” like Natasha. BMW vehicles are also set to appear in future Marvel Studios productions.

In addition to Johansson in the title role, “Black Widow” stars Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina. It also features O-T Fagbenle, Olga Kurylenko, William Hurt and Ray Winstone. It was written by Eric Pearson, directed by Cate Shortland, and produced by Kevin Feige.

Shooting locations for the movie, which is the first Phase Four release and 24th superhero film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, include Budapest, London, Morocco, Norway, and areas surrounding Atlanta.
