BMW X3 M40i

Recently, photos of the new 2017 BMW X3 M40i have leaked and, I have got to tell you, this thing is a beauty. As you can tell by the leaked photos that have been making their way around the internet, BMW is making its brand new rear-wheel-drive Sports Activity Vehicle a little be larger, so to speak, in order to create some distance between it and the front-wheel-drive X1. That is not going to add too much weight, though, seeing as the new X3 will exhibit BMW’s new CLAR platform, which will give the vehicle a weight loss of approximately 220 pounds.

Among the new X3 M40i’s more aggressive changes include its styling and a sportier interior. Alongside this new look, too, the vehicle will more than likely include an upgraded, more powerful engine (possibly a 3.0 liter turbocharged, 355 horse power inline-six engine). The effect of the G01 BMW X3, when it finally hits the market in 2017, will be felt across the BMW family. Alongside vehicles like the freshly unveiled X4 M40i, BMW’s next midsize SUV will undoubtedly be packaged with an M Performance model as well as a Sport Exhaust System, which is beautifully finished in black chrome, a large steering wheel with convenient paddle shifters, and numerous other M Sport specifics.

And, speaking of changes, the new X3 is built on an equally new rear-wheel drive flexible modular system. The vehicle also offers a ton of interior space with regard to its redesigned seating system that puts a focus on higher variability and greater comfort. Some sources have even gone so far as to say that the new G01 X3 is about 100 kg on the lighter side, as compared with the F25 X3. Of course, included within the new X3 (as is the case with all new BMWs) is the automaker’s detached infotainment display, which will be paired with (more than likely) a touchscreen for all your quick accessing needs.

Of course, this is all just speculation, as the new X3 has yet to officially hit the market. But speculation should not put a damper on hope, and the hope is that the new X3 is going to be magnificent. You can expect that with BMW putting such a focus on premium features, advanced telematics, and safety features, that the vehicle is certainly going to be another positive check mark for the automaker.
