BMW X6 M and X7 Receive Wards 10 Best Awards – BMW of Elmhurst Dealer

BMW recently announced a couple of notable awards from Wards. The BMW X7 received the Wards 10 Best UX (User Experience) award, and the X6 M took a Wards 10 Best Interiors award. Here at BMW of Elmhurst, we’re proud of the recognition the BMW brand continues to receive.

BMW X7

The BMW X7 is a three-row luxury SUV that seats seven passengers. It provides the perfect combination of space, comfort and performance that BMW vehicles are known for. Helping the X7 to win the Wards 10 Best award are the latest technology features, including BMW’s iDrive and the new Live Cockpit Professional. The X7 features two 12.3-inch digital displays and a large head-up display. Drivers can interact with the vehicle’s systems in a variety of ways, including the iDrive rotary controller, voice control, hand gestures and the central touchscreen.

Explaining the reason the X7 won a Wards 10 Best award, Tom Murphy, WardsAuto Managing Editor, said: “The X7, BMW’s largest vehicle ever, incorporates the first-rate drivetrain and interior one would expect from the German luxury brand, but it’s also designed to soothe the soul with a user experience beyond compare.”

BMW X6 M

The BMW X6 M is the top-of-the-line trim level of this midsize luxury SUV. Now in its third generation, the X6 M continues to appeal to auto enthusiasts in the United States and around the globe. Customers appreciate the X6 M’s athletic stance and its powerful 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that cranks out 600 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.

According to Murphy, “[T]he interior amplifies these [sporty] themes with carbon-fiber trim, tri-color stitching and a color scheme that demands your attention.” He called the X6 M’s seats the brightest star of the interior, specifically mentioning the hexagonal quilting on Merino leather, the integrated head restraints and the large shoulder and hip bolsters that secure front-row passengers.
