Celebrate at Family Holiday Party – BMW of Elmhurst

Join the holiday spirit by attending the Family Holiday Party at the Elmhurst Art Museum on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, from 1-4 p.m. This holiday celebration is perfect for kids of all ages. The party includes a special holiday display in the museum’s historic McCormick House, a festive miniature golf course, hot cocoa and cookies, hands-on art activities, and a visit from Santa at 2 p.m. At BMW of Elmhurst, we think this will be a fantastic event for the whole family. We commend the great events offered by the Elmhurst Art Museum to bring the community together.

Attendees will enjoy playing putt-putt at Par Excellence, a fully playable golf course and immersive exhibit designed by local and national artists for the museum. This custom-built golf course was divided into two parts. The Front 9 debuted last summer. The Back 9 is the current exhibit, which began in the fall. The nine-hole course comprises several different themes and forms. It makes for an engaging, interactive art exhibit winding through the museum.

McCormick House will be transformed to include a special holiday display during the Family Holiday Party. This single-family home was designed in 1952 by Mies van der Rohe. The house itself is an incredible presentation of architectural style and artistic design, with multiple rotating exhibits held throughout the year. The McCormick House is one of only three residences in the United States designed and built by Mies, who is considered one of the greatest architects of the 20th century. It’s also one of only two of the homes open to the public.
