Children Will Love the Clover Hunt – BMW of Elmhurst Dealer

There’s still time to register for the Clover Hunt at Fischer Farm in Bensenville. Registration closes on Wednesday, March 9. At the Clover Hunt, which takes place on Saturday, March 12, kids can hunt for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. This event is for children between the ages of two and seven. Kids two to four can arrive at 10:30 a.m., and children five to seven can attend at 11:45 a.m. At BMW of Elmhurst, we’re sure this will be a fun event for the whole family, so head up to Bensenville on Saturday morning.

During the Clover Hunt, kids will explore the farm to find magic clovers using clues and by solving puzzles. The clovers were hidden on Fischer Farm by a devious leprechaun. Children can search for his pot of gold and have a great time with crafts and all the other activities on hand.

The shamrock, or three-leaf clover, has been the unofficial national flower of Ireland for centuries. Today, it is the nation’s national emblem. Legend has it that Saint Patrick used the shamrock to symbolize the Holy Trinity when he converted the country to Christianity in the fourth century. In the 17th century, the shamrock became associated with St. Patrick’s Day when people began wearing shamrocks in their hats to church on this holiday.

When Irish immigrants arrived in the United States in the 18th century, they were unable to find shamrocks in the cities where they lived. They substituted images of shamrocks and the color green during celebrations of their Irish heritage at parties and parades.
