Discover Terrance Johnson: An Artist’s Changing View – Elmhurst BMW Dealer

August 9th, 2018 by

Artist Terrance Johnson’s one-man show, entitled Terrance Johnson: An Artist’s Changing View, is at the Elmhurst Artists’ Guild Gallery from August 12 through September 7. Johnson paints and creates mixed media art, but resists being identified as having a particular artistic style. Instead, his art changes over time as he does, something he’s embraced and showcases in An Artist’s Changing View. All of us at Elmhurst BMW enjoy seeing original art. We encourage you to attend this exhibit.

Terrance JohnsonJohnson describes how he creates his art in this way: “My works always begin with figurative images, classical or contemporary, and lead to some kind of distortion, often dictated by the act of painting itself …” He is influenced by his interest in the theater, Buddhism and the digital age we live in.

If you’d like the opportunity to see Terrance Johnson: An Artists’ Changing View and meet the artist, make plans to attend the Elmhurst Artists’ Guild Opening Reception on Friday, August 17 from 7-9 p.m. If you fall in love with a particular piece of art and want to take it home with you, you’re in luck, as it may be available for purchase.
