Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra Presents Brass Blowout – BMW of Elmhurst Dealer

Join the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra as it presents Brass Blowout, a joyful night of music-making on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 7 p.m. at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. The concert is a continuation of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra’s Music Alive season, a year-long celebration of the ESO’s 60-season history. At BMW of Elmhurst, we appreciate the spectacular orchestral performances the ESO continues to provide to the Elmhurst community and beyond. We’re sure classical music enthusiasts will enjoy this first-rate performance.

Music Director and Conductor Stephen Alltop leads the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra through musical selections by well-loved composers Manuel de Falla, Maurice Ravel, Ottorino Respighi and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Selections include Suites Nos. 1 and 3 from Falla’s premiere 20th-century ballet, “The Three-Cornered Hat” and Respighi’s four-movement symphonic poem and tribute to his home country, “Pines of Rome.” Audience members will also delight in the third movement, “Allegro con fuoco,” of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat Minor, Op. 23., featuring special guest artist and pianist Shivshankar Prasad, the 2020 winner of the Stranger Audition.

Brass Blowout is dedicated to the late Fred Hodge, a friend and generous supporter of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra. The 2021-22 season of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra is made possible in part by grants from the City of Elmhurst, the Illinois Arts Council, the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation, and 90.9 FM WDCB, Chicago’s Home for Jazz.

Admission:
Single tickets are $35 for adults, $32 for seniors 65 and older, and $12 for students. All tickets can be purchased on the ESO website or by phone through Thursday, November 11, 2021.

At this time, all ESO attendees are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status or age, in accordance with state COVID-19 guidelines.
