Elmhurst Symphony Presents Rhapsody by the Lake – Elmhurst BMW Dealer
Experience the glorious sounds of Rhapsody by the Lake, presented by the Elmhurst Symphony Musicians in Performance at Mayslake, on April 11 at 7:30 p.m. The Elmhurst Symphony will be joined by the Young Lake Harp Duo of Janelle Jansen Lake and Nicole Luchs Young. Enjoy a beautiful evening of music by the Gershwins, Claude Debussy, John Thomas and other composers at the historic Mayslake Peabody Estate. Poems with a water theme will be read at the concert in honor of National Poetry Month. At Elmhurst BMW, we think you’ll enjoy this family-friendly concert, and we hope you can make it to the performance.
The eclectic musical selections chosen for the Rhapsody by the Lake concert showcase the heavenly beauty of harp music as performed by the Young Lake Harp Duo. Compositions by Debussy include the popular “Claire de Lune,” “First Arabesque” and “En Bateau.” Hear George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” and Ira Gershwin’s “An American in Paris.” The program is rounded out by Alphonse Hasselmans’ “La Source” and John Thomas’s “Cambria Duet.”
