Join Timothy’s Bridge Builders in honoring Black History Month on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at the Timothy Christian School’s Huizenga Auditorium. Author Latasha Morrison will be the featured speaker. Terrance Smith will lead the evening’s worship. This free event also features a soul food dinner! Latasha MorrisonLatasha Morrison is a prominent author, speaker, and founder of “Be the Bridge,” a non-profit organization that works towards racial reconciliation. She is a respected voice on issues of race, and her work has garnered national attention. Morrison is the author of the New York Times and Evangelical Christian Publishers Association bestseller, “Be the Bridge: Pursuing God’s Heart for Racial Reconciliation.” The book has received critical acclaim and is widely recognized as an essential resource in conversations around race and diversity. Morrison is a sought-after speaker on the topic of racial reconciliation, and her work has been featured in a variety of media outlets, including Christianity Today, The Today Show, and NPR. She continues to use her platform to advocate for justice and equity in our society. She has also been honored with various awards and recognition for her work, including being named one of the 100 most influential African Americans by The Root.

The evening begins with a delectable soul food dinner catered by Backyard Eats, featuring rib tips, collard greens, candied yams, mac and cheese, and fried chicken! Childcare is available courtesy of the school’s 8th graders, who are raising money for a class trip to Washington, DC.
