Evening Music at the Elmhurst College Summer Band Concert – Elmhurst BMW Dealer
The second Elmhurst College Summer Band Concert of the season takes place on Wednesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. on the Elmhurst College Mall. This outdoor concert promises to be a fun event, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets, take your picnic basket, and head over to Elmhurst College for an evening of great music. At Elmhurst BMW, we’re very grateful to live and work in a community like Elmhurst that supports the arts, and we hope you can make it to the Elmhurst College Summer Band Concert.
The Summer Band is made up of Elmhurst College students, faculty members, music teachers in our community and residents who live in the Elmhurst area. The Elmhurst Summer Band Concert performs a variety of music. The band is conducted by assistant music professor James Hile. Professor Emeritus Judy Grimes will be a guest conductor, along with assistant director John Heath.
The June 26 concert is called “American Salute.” It features popular American favorites, as well as patriotic selections. Guest performers at the Elmhurst College Summer Band Concert will include trombone faculty member Tom Stark and faculty member and vocalist Gayle Bisesi.
The Elmhurst College Summer Band Concert begins at 7 p.m. on the Brune Patio, behind the Frick Center, and is open to the public.
