Experience the ESO’s Mostly Mozart Concert – BMW of Elmhurst Dealer

If you love classical music, don’t miss the Elmhurst Symphony’s Mostly Mozart concert, which will be available from Sunday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m. through Dec. 6. Mostly Mozart is the second of the ESO’s two virtual musical programs for fall. The performance features celebrated pianist Ran Dank, who will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 14 in E-flat Major. Dank will appear with the ESO musicians, thanks to cutting-edge video technology. We at BMW of Elmhurst recognize the value of having the ESO in our community, and we particularly appreciate their virtual performances during the current pandemic. Mostly Mozart program is a fantastic concert that you can appreciate from the comfort of your home.

Stephen Alltop, ESO Music Director and Conductor, will conduct the Mostly Mozart program. The performance also includes two movements by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s expressive Four Noveletten for Strings.

Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 14 in E-flat Major was completed in 1784 and consists of three movements. The piece has been called one of Mozart’s finest concertos. Audiences will love the dramatic energy of this concerto. Thomas May wrote:

“Within the first minutes he introduces a parade of at least five different themes, as if gathering a variety of characters on stage. These mercurial changes set the tone for what is to come as the soloist enters and engages with the ensemble – at times completing its phrases as tenderly as a lover, at others stealing its limelight. Mozart’s fertility of imagination is evident in how he isolates the seemingly casual trill from the concerto’s very opening theme as an item ripe for the development section.”
