Spring Break Snoopypalooza is coming to the Elmhurst History Museum! It’s a week of activities for kids during spring break, kicking off with the Snoopypalooza Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, March 24 through Saturday, March 31. This is a fun, free event where children of all ages can search for Snoopy’s hiding places and win prizes. At Elmhurt BMW, those of us with kids are always looking for family-friendly activities, and this is a great one.

Snoopypalooza Scavenger HuntThe first stop on the Snoopypalooza Scavenger Hunt is the Elmhurst History Museum. That’s where you’ll get a clue sheet to help your kids find where Snoopy is hiding in Elmhurst City Centre. At each City Centre location where Snoopy is found, kids will receive a special stamp. Children collect the stamps, then return to the museum to redeem them for prizes. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Snoopypalooza Scavenger Hunt begins and ends at the Elmhurst History Museum, so why not see the current Snoopy and the Red Baron exhibit while you’re there? You’ll learn more about Snoopy and his other persona, the World War I-era Flying Ace. If you remember Peanuts comics and TV shows, you know the Flying Ace is dedicated to shooting the Red Baron out of the sky. At the museum, you can see Snoopy’s doghouse and even try on his flying cap and googles for photos.

The exhibit also includes reproductions of Schulz’ Peanuts comic strips, Snoopy and Peanuts memorabilia, and World War I artifacts. Materials in the exhibit are on loan from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, located in Santa Rosa, California.

There are lots of other fun things to do at the museum during Spring Break Snoopypalooza. Check out the museum’s website for more information so you don’t miss a thing!
