LA To Get a Good Dose of BMW

The Los Angeles auto show is here! We definitely wish we could be there for the event but we will be too busy here in Elmhurst selling BMWs. But while we do, four great new BMWmodels will be in sunny Southern California selling themselves, and a Bimmer never sells itself short.

These four new models will be making their debut in North America at the show and are the best representation of fuel economy and high tech features that the Bavarians have to offer. While these four cars will be the stars at the event, BMW also plans to show off their refreshed version of the 2016 3 Series, as well as a plug-in hybrid i8 and the electric 8. We know we never get tired of seeing them.

The BMW 330e combines a turbocharged four cylinder engine with an electric motor for a machine that delivers nearly 250 horsepower to propel itself from zero to 60 in a hair under six seconds. And fuel efficiency? How does 373 miles on one tank sound? On the electric motor alone the 330e can travel about 25 miles at speeds up to 75 mile per hour.

The BMW X1 second generation crossover features a 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder matched with all-wheel drive for 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This new generation adds quite a bit of space on the inside for passengers as well as all the stuff they lug around.

BMW’s 7 Series will also make a showing in LA. This is the car to impress the tech fans. Made with a carbon fiber chassis, the infotainment system alone is impressive enough, but the self park feature is also quite extraordinary. The BMW M4 GTS is the high performance model that is the perfect fit with the efficiency, practicality and tech innovation of its cousin. With a turbocharged six using water injection to increase efficiency and lower temps, the M4 manages to kick out 425 horsepower with the GTS kicking it up to just shy of 500.
