Midwest Baking with Shauna SeverShauna Sever is an American author, food writer, and television host. She is the author of the popular cookbook, “Real Sweet: More Than 80 Crave-Worthy Treats Made with Natural Sugars,” which has been featured on The Today Show and Good Morning America. She is also the host of the PBS show Sweet Dreams, which focuses on the science and art of baking. Sever has been featured in numerous publications, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post. She is a frequent guest on radio and television programs, including The Splendid Table, The Splendid Table Radio Hour, and The Splendid Table Podcast. Sever is passionate about creating delicious recipes made with natural sugars and healthy ingredients.

“Midwest Made: Big, Bold Baking from the Heartland,” is a celebration of Midwest baking. It contains more than 125 recipes, many with roots dating back to a time when immigrant families from across Europe moved to the Midwest.
