Virtual Meet-and-Greet a Lincoln Park Zoo Animal – BMW of Elmhurst Dealer

Take a virtual trip to Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo for the next installment of Virtual Meet-and-Greet a Lincoln Park Zoo Animal. This event allows the public to get a look into the world of some of the animals at Lincoln Park Zoo. The program for Saturday, July 25, comes live from the zoo’s Waterfront Lagoon and features the Chilean flamingos. At BMW of Elmhurst, we welcome the efforts our community’s institutions are making to offer virtual events like this one by the Lincoln Park Zoo.

Each Virtual Meet-and-Greet a Lincoln Park Zoo Animal program explores the world of some of the zoo’s nearly 200 animal species. This Zoom event is led by S. Sunny Nelson, Curator of Birds, who will inform participants about the zoo’s Chilean flamingos, including their habits, diets, personality traits and individualized care. She currently oversees more than 55 diverse species of birds.

The event will start with a short introduction, followed by a presentation that runs approximately 20 minutes. There will be a 10-minute Q&A session after the presentation. Future programs include the Robert and Mayari Pritzker Penguin Cove with the African Penguins on August 8, and Walter Family Arctic Tundra with the Polar Bears on August 22. All funds generated by the event will go to the zoo’s many animal initiatives, global conservation work, and local education programs.

Virtual Meet-and-Greet a Lincoln Park Zoo Animal is suitable for all ages. Registration is online. Participants will receive a link to the Zoom event shortly before the start time.
