Where to Go for Coronavirus Testing – BMW of Elmhurst Dealer

Coronavirus TestingIf you are feeling ill, there are places you can go for Coronavirus testing. While Illinois hasn’t instituted public coronavirus testing, you can get tested for COVID-19 if you have a doctor’s note, and you aren’t so sick that you need to be hospitalized. There are some local testing sites you can visit. This list is current as of this writing, but it’s a good idea to call and check before you go.

  • Roseland Community Hospital

Roseland Community Hospital is the first South Side community hospital to provide COVID-19 tests. The drive-thru testing will be available starting today, Friday, April 3. Each person will be given a number and then will be seen by a doctor for COVID-19 symptoms. If the doctor believes the patient should be tested, the patient will be given one of the 200 available COVID-19 tests.

The hospital is currently offering Coronavirus testing for its patients and other hospitals’ patients who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.

  • Illinois National Guard Testing Facility

The National Guard facility is providing drive-thru testing for first responders. Coronavirus testing is limited to police officers, paramedics firefighters, and other health professionals. Beginning March 28, the the facility started testing people over 60 with COVID-19 symptoms on a first-come, first-served basis. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Coronavirus Testing is available in drive-thru facilities for patients who have a doctor’s note. The facility is located in the parking lot to prevent potential exposure in the hospital.

Federal drive-thru testing sites for first responders and healthcare workers are available at in the parking lots of Walmart’s Northlake and Joliet stores. These locations aren’t open to the public.
