Star Wars fans can test their knowledge and compete for prizes during Elmhurst Public Library’s virtual Star Wars Trivia event on Monday, May 3 at 7 p.m. Contestants will have the best experience by using a laptop or desktop to access the live YouTube presentation and using a smartphone to submit answers. At BMW of Elmhurst, we appreciate entertaining events that bring our community together, and we’re happy the library is offering many virtual activities that local families can enjoy from home.

Star Wars TriviaAs dedicated fans know, “Star Wars” is one of the most beloved and successful film franchises in history. The influential space opera, created by George Lucas, began with “Star Wars” in 1977, continued with “The Empire Strikes Back” in 1980, and was followed by “The Return of the Jedi” in 1983. The series was revived in 1999 with “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” in 1999. Five more films followed, including “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” in 2017 and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” in 2019. The sci-fi franchise has also spawned several TV shows, including the long-running animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and the current Disney+ streaming hit “Star Wars: The Mandalorian.”

With so many movies, TV shows and characters to answer questions about, the Star Wars Trivia event is sure to be challenging and fun for everyone involved. For instance, do you know Baby Yoda’s real name? Do you remember which planet Jabba the Hutt calls home? Can you name Kylo Ren’s parents? Sign up for the event and show you have Jedi-level “Star Wars” knowledge. May the Force be with you!
